If you’ve been to a conference that Holly was at, you’ve probably met her before…at least on Twitter. Holly is a live-tweeting machine at conferences, which makes her a wealth of thought leadership and trendspotting. In her spare time, Holly runs her social media consulting company, Neovia Solutions.

In this #52CommsMixup video, she talks about her day job, her recent blog post series of letters to herself when she was 13 and her favorite movie character of all time (Hint: Think 80s and Melanie Griffith). And Holly gives some very candid thoughts on her passion, fighting alcohol and drug addiction. If you haven’t met Holly before, check out the video and then check in with her on Twitter - @HollyHoffman.

Questions

1. You are chief inspiration officer of Neovia Solutions. Tell me about the company and about the role. And also, your website says tow of maybe my fave lines ever: 1) We don’t throw spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks around here, 2) We don’t suffer from Bright Shiny Object Syndrome. Tell me about that philosophy.

2. You are one of the most avid live-tweeters at conferences that I have ever met. I can still easily find you people in corporate leadership positions who just don’t get Twitter and that aspect of communicating with customers. Talk about what live-tweeting and Twitter in general has done for your business.

3. Ok, you did a cool blog series on WorkLoveLife.com called “Letters to a teenage girl.” Do you mind sharing the thought process behind that? And also, you mentioned Clueless in one of the posts, so who was your fave character in the movie?

4. The last question is always reserved for you to tell us about a cause you care a lot about. What’s your passion?
