52 Comms Mixup Video 16: Rebecca Denison

Sep 01, 11

Rebecca Denison is a rising star in the PR measurement world -- and a Tar Heel!

Rebecca Denison is a super-smart digital analyst working for Digitas in Chicago. Her specialty — or at least how I came to know her — is measurement and Tar Heels. Let’s take measurement first. Rebecca has worked with analytics guru Katie Paine and she provides great perspective on the tools and trends companies need to look out for. So we talked about that. Rebecca also went to college at North Carolina. And I have always been a HUGE UNC basketball fan. So I lived vicariously through her as she described being on campus during the 2009 national championship run.

Anyway, take a listen to Rebecca’s interview and see what you think. She recommends some good measurement blogs to follow like Katie Paine and Avinash Kausik.  And I’d recommend you check out her blog too — RebeccaADenison.com.

Great conversation! Rebecca, I enjoyed listening to your thoughts, particularly when it comes to the value of research — not just jumping head-first into a campaign, but taking the time to pull in data on consumers at different points, learning their motivations and where they’re coming from. Thanks for sharing!

@lizpope Thank YOU for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. :)

  4. lizpoperebecadenison That was one of my favorite discussion points in the interview as well. Research is one of the most telling — and yet, also most underutilized — resources we have access to as communicators. Great point!
