52 Comms Mixup video 14: Ramsey Mohsen

Many people dabble in video. We do a talking head video here or an interview series there. But Ramsey Mohsen is one of the few video bloggers I know. At least who I can think of right now. And he’s really good at it. How good?

Well, his video blog chronicling David Beckham’s first trip to KC — aptly named The David Beckham Show — has six-figure views and was featured on YouTube’s home page. Ramsey was one of the first lifecasters on the Justin.tv platform a few years back. Today he is a tech SME on a local KC news station, talking tablets, gadgets and trends. And he is frequently asked by local organizations to video blog there big events (e.g. a tour of the new Sporting KC Livestrong stadium).

Ramsey is a guy you should know. A guy I’d like to know better. A guy who works at Digital Evolution Group as director of social media for his day job and uses social media outside of work to start events like The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, which has raised more than $50K for Operation Breakthrough over the last six years. Maggie and I haven’t been before. But that changes this year. It’s time. And I’m going to find one badass Hannukah sweater, I can tell you that.

Check out the video above and get to know Ramsey better. Then check out some of his video blogs below. And follow the dude on Twitter. His handle is @rm. That’s it. The most selfless Twitter handle ever. He’s giving you the other 137 characters. How cool is that? :)
